Have you ever been in a season where you’re genuinely trying to follow God, but out of nowhere, life hits you with something totally unfair?
You question everything, asking, “Lord, why me? I’m doing my best—why is this happening?”
If that’s you, you’re not alone. The disciples felt the exact same way in Mark 4. Jesus told them, “Let us go over to the other side.” That wasn’t a suggestion—it was a promise and a clear destination. They stepped into the boat, but mid-journey, a violent, overwhelming storm crashed over them.
Maybe that’s your life right now. You’re walking with Jesus, but your marriage is shaking, your finances are tight, your health is under attack, or your mind feels heavy.
Here is the truth: The storm doesn’t mean Jesus left you; it means the enemy is trying to stop your journey. Some storms aren’t random—they are spiritual pushback designed to derail you from reaching the “other side” God promised.
Notice what Jesus did. He didn’t panic or run. He stood up, spoke to the winds, and rebuked the storm.
Storms don’t respond to fear—they respond to faith. Speak peace over your home, healing over your body, and breakthrough over your situation. If Jesus said you’re going to the other side, no storm on earth can sink your boat because He is still inside it.
A Declaration of Faith
“Jesus has spoken over my storm: Peace, be still. I will reach the other side. No storm will stop what God has started in my life.”
A Prayer for the Journey Father God, thank You for being with me in every storm. When life feels overwhelming, remind me that You are right here. Today, I rebuke every storm sent by the enemy—storms of fear, confusion, sickness, lack, and discouragement. I speak “Peace, be still” over my life. Strengthen my faith and remind me that You have already declared my destination. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
