Have you ever wondered why you keep battling the same sin even though you love God deeply?
Today’s Scripture taken from Romans 6:14 — “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
Many believers misunderstand grace. Some see it only as forgiveness—God wiping away sins after they happen. But Scripture reveals much more. Grace is not only pardon; it is power. It is not just mercy—it is might. It is not just kindness—it is kingdom empowerment.
Romans 6:14 declares that sin shall not have dominion over you because you are under grace. This means grace is the spiritual force that breaks sin’s control. Grace is the divine strength to live differently.
What law could not do, what human discipline cannot accomplish, grace can. Law says “Do not sin,” but grace makes you able not to sin. Law exposes sin, but grace dethrones sin.
Too many believers fight sin with willpower. But willpower is limited—it lasts until emotions run low, stress rises, or temptation intensifies. But grace is supernatural. Grace strengthens you at your weakest. Grace gives you power you do not possess on your own.
Grace teaches you (Titus 2:11–12).
Grace empowers you (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Grace transforms you (Romans 12:2).
Grace changes desires (Psalm 37:4).
Grace breaks habits (Romans 8:2).
You cannot overcome sin by trying harder—you overcome by yielding deeper.
Sin dominates where grace is not active.
Grace dominates when Christ is Lord in your daily choices.
Grace is not a passive theological concept—it is an active spiritual weapon.
Paul says you are “under grace,” which means you live beneath its covering, its influence, and its power supply. Grace is like oxygen for your spirit—without it you struggle, with it you thrive.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your grace that empowers me to walk in freedom. I surrender every area where sin has tried to dominate my life. Teach me to lean on Your grace daily—not my strength, not my effort, not my willpower. Fill me with Your Spirit, renew my mind, and give me divine strength to live in victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
